NHS White Paper “Equity and Exellence: Liberating the NHS”

On 12 July 2010 the Secretary of State for Health Andrew Lansley published the Government’s plans to reform the NHS in the White Paper “Equity and Excellence: Liberating the NHS”. The White Paper sets out details on how power will be devolved from Whitehall to patients and professionals long term.  Patients will get more choice and control rather than patients having to fit around services. The principle will be “no decisions about me without me”. Particular reference to the future of LINks is made on pages 19 to 20 (2.24 to 2.26).
